Aamir turns down Adlabs' 60 crore offer?
The news is that Aamir Khan has turned down a three-film offer worth Rs 60 crore from Adlabs. Aamir apparently refused to sign the contract as there was no proper script in place.
The actor has been offered good money even before. In fact, he is believed to have charged Rs 20 crore for Ghajini. So despite them offering him so much money, what went against the Adlabs offer was the fact that they did not have any story, or script in hand when they met Aamir. They simply told Aamir that he would have the freedom to choose three directors of his choice and Adlabs would back those projects. Initially, Adlabs had offered him Rs 50 crore for three films but when they found that Aamir was not willing, they decided to up it by another Rs 10 crore, but to no avail. The actor is believed to have been quite amused but he turned down the offer very politely. He told them he does not do film just for money and that the script was of paramount importance to him. The actor was paid Rs 8 crore for Bobby Bedi's The Rising; Rs 10 crore for UTV's Rang De Basanti, and Rs 10 core for Yash Raj's Fanaa. But just money has never been important for Aamir, one of the few actors who refuses to attend inauguration ceremonies, weddings and other events which can give him good money. He is only known to attend select events.
