THE STRANGERS is a horror film which was released in US on 30th May 2008. And now India's premier distribution Company PVR is all set to release the mysterious thriller THE STRANGERS on 26th September 2008. THE STRANGERS was earlier titled as THE FACES.
Written and directed by Bryan Bertino, THE STRANGERS stars Alex Fisher, Peter Clayton-Luce,
Scott Speedman and Liv Tyler primarily. It was filmed in Florence, South Carolina. THE STRANGERS was postponed twice and later when it released in US it got rave reviews and the film really performed well at the Box-office. The film was also nominated for Golden Trailer Awards (in the category Best Horror and Best Sound Editing) and Teen Choice Awards (in the category Choice Movie: Horror/thriller, Choice Movie actor: Horror/thriller where Scott Speedman was nominated and finally Choice Movie Actress: Horror/thriller where Liv Tyler aws nominated)
It is learnt that THE STRANGERS is inspired by an event from director Bryan Bertino's childhood.
Synopsis:
A young couple staying at a summer retreat is faced with a night of psychological terror. As the night goes on, the reality of what will come is more terrifying than anything both could have imagined.
Since the narrator in the beginning concludes his monologue with, "The brutal events that took place there are still not entirely known" we can only assume that both James and Kristen get to know what it is but do not live to tell their story.
